The Palm Beach County Safety Action Plan builds on the efforts of key partners and proven strategies to create safer streets for all. The Palm Beach County Department of Engineering’s Traffic Division plays a leading role in identifying safety needs and implementing roadway improvements across the county. The Plan is guided by national frameworks such as the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Safe System Approach, which emphasizes designing transportation systems that anticipate and accommodate human error.
