CRASH DATA

A comprehensive crash analysis was conducted as part of the Safety Action Plan. The most severe crashes are concentrated along certain corridors and intersections. To focus safety efforts where they are needed most, fatal and serious injury crashes across pedestrian, bicycle, motorcycle, and vehicle modes were mapped and analyzed. High injury corridors and intersections were identified and combined to create a High Injury Network which guide the strategies recommended in the Safety Action Plan. A public-facing dashboard is currently in development for the Safety Action Plan to promote transparency and accountability, allowing residents to monitor the County’s progress towards reducing and eliminating all traffic related fatalities and serious injuries countywide. The dashboard will highlight trends in traffic related crashes, serious injuries, and fatalities, helping to inform data-driven decision-making. The dashboard will also showcase ongoing and planned safety improvements, as identified in the plan.
